Just like you. And the Iron tour 2017, which will take place on Elba Island May 27th to 31st, is right up your alley.
The program of Iron tour 2017:
- May 27th: Rio Marina;
- May 28th: Marciana;
- May 29th: Lacona;
- May 30th: Portoferraio;
- May 31st: Capoliveri.
The 2017 edition of the Iron tour offers five triathlons in as many beautiful locations of the island. An opportunity for all sport enthusiasts, not only to test technique and endurance but also to practice this particular discipline overlooking some on Elba.
A special feature: as for the last year, the first stage of the Iron tour 2017 (Rio Marina, May 27) will take place on the Olympic distance.
Not only sport
If, instead of participating, you just want to be a spectator, you have to know that, following the various stages of the Iron tour, you will also have the chance to see some of the most beautiful places of the island, such as Portoferraio, the beach of Lacona and cala dei Frati (a cove).
How to get there
To follow the various stages of the Iron tour 2017, we recommend you to stay in Portoferraio (the main port where the ferries to Elba Island). City that is located in a strategic position.
- To get from Portoferraio to Capoliveri, take the county road 26 towards south, the journey by car takes about 20 minutes.
- To get from Portoferraio to Rio Marina, take the county road 26 and the county road 32, the journey by car takes about thirty minutes.
- To get from Portoferraio to Marciana, take the county road 24 and the county road 25, the journey by car takes about fifty minutes.
