Rally MTB Elba Island: between wonderful views and challenging trails

There are so many reasons to visit Elba Island in October. If you are mountain bikers, you have even one more reason. Because, on October 15^th and 16^th, will take place the 2016 edition of the Rally MTB Elba Island.

The race

The starting point is Marina di Campo, on the south coast of Elba Island. In both days, the race consists of a 35-40 kilometres long trail. The trail is divided into timed stages, special stages and non-competitive stages.

The Anello occidentale

If you are here only to see the race, for you there’s also the Anello occidentale dell’isola d’Elba: it’s the coastal road from Marina di Campo to Procchio, on the north coast of the island; this road will give you unforgettable views.

How to get there

To get from Portoferraio (the main port where ferries to Elba Island dock) to Marina di Campo:

• Take county road 24 to Procchio;
• From Procchio, take county road 25 to Marina di Campo.

The journey by car takes about thirty minutes.
