Porto Azzurro: the Carmignani walk, a brief stroll in a wonderful place

You’re having a holiday on Elba Island. Maybe you stay in Porto Azzurro, but even if you reside in Capoliveri, Portoferraio or the west coast, Porto Azzuro is really near to you, so it’s worth to go and have a brief stroll on the Carmignani walk.

It was recently built and it starts from the promenade of Porto Azzurro. The Carmignani walk is about 1km long and it’s fully equipped and illuminated, so it’s perfect even for those people who are having a holiday with their family. It takes about 20 minutes to cross it. A really enjoyable walk.

You will have a stroll immersed in the sea scent, between the green heights and the blue of the Tyrrhenian sea. The best moments to have this walk are in the morning and in the evening. At the end of the walk you will reach the Barbaroassa beach, which is lively and popular during the morning and so romantic in the evening.

On Elba Island, as you surely know, you have so many things to do and so many places to see. If you’re there, remember to have the Carmignani walk if you would like to spend some relaxing time.
