July: the 5 must-see events during a holiday on Elba Island

You will spend your Summer holidays on Elba Island. And you’re really lucky, because you will see dreamy beaches, taste the typical dishes and discover the natural treasures of the island.

And, if your holiday will be on July 2016, these are five must-see events:

1. Tullio De Piscopo in concert (July 7^th)

Drummer, percussionist, songwriter. In other words, a real artist. The concert is free and will take place on July 7^th in Piazza Matteotti, Capoliveri.

2. Cambusa rétro – Elba vintage market (From July 10^th to 12^th)

A three-days event that will take place in Portoferraio, at Molo G: stands with vintage objects, art installations, activities for children, live music, DJ set.

3. Magnetic festival (From July 11^th to 24^th)

All the beauty of lyric, classical and symphonic music. The Compendio minerario Calamita Ginevro, in Capoliveri, will be the location where great operas such as Il trovatore and Don Giovanni will take place.

4. Festa dell’Innamorata (July 14^th)

The Innamorata is considered the most romantic beach on Elba Island. Every year, on July 14^th at 9pm, the traditional costume parade, the torchlights and the “disfida della ciarpa” commemorate the tragic and poignant love of Lorenzo and Maria.

5. Festa di San Giacomo (July 25^th)

On this day, the city of Porto Azzurro does homage to the life of the fishermen: the scents of the typical fish recipes, the photographic exhibition, the procession of San Giacomo, the parade through the streets, stalls, music, tastings.
