You have already chosen Elba Island as destination of your next vacation. But it is the first time you visit the island and you don’t know where to stay. Or you have already been there and you’d like to find some place that you have not yet seen. Either way, here are four locations suitable for any holiday.
It is the main town on Elba Island, an vibrant and always popular town and one of the oldest. Things to see in Portoferraio are so many: the Medici fortress, Roman villas, Napoleon’s home, the docks, and that’s just to name a few.
And then there is the sea. The beaches of Portoferraio are three of the most beautiful that Elba Island has to offer to all its visitors: places like Ghiaie beach, Sansone beach, Padulella, Cala dei Frati. Portoferraio is a place suitable for any type of holiday, from sports to relaxation.
The slogans during a holiday on the south coast of Elba are essentially two: relaxation and excursions. In Capoliveri too, the things to see are many, as evidenced by Forte Focardo, the shrine Madonna delle Grazie, the apse of San Michele.
Among its beaches worth a mention at least Lido Capoliveri, Felciaio, Lacona, Innamorata beach, Naregno (many of which are also suggested for a holiday with the kids). Nearby is Monte Calamita, with its many paths that will delight every trekking fan.
On the east coast of Elba Island. Rio Marina is indicated for those who want to spend a holiday with the whole family, because it is quiet, relaxing, and its beaches are equipped with many facilities as well as being within easy reach.
The fourth advice on where to stay on the island of Elba is this town which is on the west central coast. This is also one of the wildest areas of the island, then Campo nell’Elba is recommended for those who want to discover hidden paths, coves uncrowded roads and panoramic sea.
