Elba tuna fishing: three days dedicated to game fishing

Game fishing is one of the several sports that can be practiced on Elba Island (and the caught fishes are immediately released into the sea). There is an event that, from July 10 to 12, 2015, will delight all enthusiasts of this sport: it’s Elba tuna fishing, that will take place in Marciana Marina.

The program of Elba tuna fishing 2015

July 10, Friday:

• From 3pm to 7pm: delivery of material to the participating teams and assignment of the  place on the boat.
• 7:30pm: presentation of Elba tuna fishing 2015.

July 11, Saturday:

• 7am: meeting on the quay for the roll call and the delivery of sardines.
• 8am: departure from the meeting point.
• From 8:30am to 3:30pm: first round of tuna drifting.
• 4:30pm: arrival at the pier, weighing, verification and release of caught fishes.
• 9pm: dinner for participants.

July 12, Sunday:

• 7pm: meeting on the quay for the roll call and the delivery of sardines.
• 8am: departure from the meeting point.
• From 8:30am to 3:30pm: second round of tuna drifting.
• 4:30pm: arrival at the pier, weighing, verification and release of caught fishes.
• 6:30pm: aperitif for the participants and prize-giving.
