The sea is there, with its unforgettable views. Your passion for dance, too. Therefore, there are all the conditions required to fully enjoy your vacation. And one of the best opportunities is the Elba world tango paradise: the 2017 edition will be held in Marina di Campo from the 2nd to the 9th of July.
The tango passion
What can you expect from this magical event dedicated to one of the most sensational and exciting dance in the world? On the one hand, there will be the likes of international masters such as Gustavo Rosas and Gisela Natoli, Leandro Palou and Maria Tsiatsiani, Kyoko Wakao and Tzu-Han Hsu. On the other hand, DJs like Punto y Branca, Dj Elisa, Dj Pablo and Arturo Zuccarello.
All this will make the seven days of the Elba world tango paradise really special for all tango enthusiasts, with a series of milonghe follow one another on the streets, by the pool and by the beautiful sea of the island of Elba.
For this tango-based holiday, as we will see later, the best solution is to get an accommodation in Portoferraio. Then, within a milonga, a tango lesson and the performance of the masters, we suggest to save some time to:
- Visit Portoferraio, a city that has plenty of history, traditions, culture and entertainment;
- Indulge yourself a bit of healthy relaxation on the most beautiful beaches in Portoferraio, such as Samson, Padulella and Ghiaie.
How to get there
Here’s how you can get to Marina di Campo from Portoferraio (one of the main harbor for the ferries to Elba Island):
- Take the country road 24 to Procchio;
- From Procchio, take the provincial road 25 to Marina di Campo.
A car journey takes about half an hour. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the efficient Elba bus connections.
