In this photo you can admire a view of Rio nell’Elba. A very characteristic and evocative place, set in the mountains and overlooking a splendid glimpse of the sea of Elba island. An ideal place for an independent publishing festival. Just like the Elba book festival 2018, to be held from 17 to 20 July.
The independent publishing festival will be the opportunity, during your next holiday on Elba island, to devote some time to your great passion, or literature: there are scheduled presentations, conferences, meetings with operators in the sector and with the representatives of the so-called “minor” publishing houses, those small businesses that, in everyday life, publish and promote original, quality books, giving space also to very young and / or debutant authors.
And then, we must not forget another of the great events that make this festival special: the “Lorenzo Claris Appiani for literary translation” award, established by the Appiani family, which every year is assigned to enhance the important figure of the translator. This year, the Appiani award will be given for a translation from Chinese.
