San Piero In Campo: stories, emotions and poetry of De André day

The acoustic guitar was his instrument. The instrument with which he created the melodies that accompanied his stories, his tales, his poetry. Songs that will relive, once again, on 20 August 2018. When the new and always awaited edition of the De André day will take place in San Piero In Campo, an unmissable event of summer on Elba island.

Music and poetry

The first edition was organized in August 1999. On August 20, 19 years after the death of the great Faber, the De André day extinguishes its first twenty candles. Twentieth edition for an event that wants to be one of the most heartfelt and long-lived tributes to one of the most beloved songwriters of all time.

The evening of 20 August will be an opportunity to immerse oneself in the atmosphere, in the suggestions and in that particular way of telling stories and moods. That unique and unmistakable way that, even today, makes it one of the cornerstones of Italian music.

How to get

To get to San Piero In Campo from Portoferraio, the main port where ferries arrive and leave for Elba island, you only have to:

• Take the provincial road 24 up to Procchio;
• Take the provincial road 25 to Marina di Campo;
• From here, follow the signs for San Piero In Campo.

The journey by car takes about half an hour.
