The itinerary
- December 25th. Christmas day will be celebrated with the solemn Mass in the different churches of Portoferraio. - December 27th. For about a year, from May 4, 1814 to February 27, 1815, the first French emperor lived in exile on Elba. And the island still preserves several places linked to Napoleon Bonaparte: seeing them will be like traveling back in time.
- December 28th. It is Porto Azzurro And here too there is a lot to see, such as Matteotti square, Fort Longone and the Carmignani promenade. We advise you to stop and eat fish in one of the many restaurants overlooking the sea.
- December 29th. If the day is beautiful, we suggest you to admire the most spectacular view that the island of Elba can ever give you. Starting from Marciana, on foot you can reach the top of Mount Capanne. The climb is not demanding. Once at the top, you can embrace the whole island with your gaze.
- December 30th. With the name of Western Ring of Elba island we mean the coastal road from Procchio to Marina di Campo. You will admire villages perched on the heights or overlooking the sea.
- December 31st. Usually, the arrival of the new year is greeted in Portoferraio, by the sea, with lots of music and the inevitable show of fireworks (for more information, see the official site of the municipality of Portoferraio, portoferraio.li. it). And if you want to dance until the first light of dawn, you can choose between the three main discos of Elba island: the Club 64, the Decò and Il Tinello.
