Secure Payments

Credit card payments for Traghetti Elba Reservation bookings are made via a secure connection using https protocol on the server of the payment operator Unicredit Pagonline. This system is specially designed to prevent any malicious third party from intercepting your credit card number over the internet. In fact, your credit card details are not transferred to Traghetti Elba Reservation but to a secure Unicredit server than manages the transaction between credit institutions. This means that no one can find out your credit card details. Traghetti Elba Reservation only finds out the outcome of the transaction (authorised or not authorised). You can therefore book a ferry for Elba in complete security.

Online payments can currently be made using Visa, MasterCard, and Maestro credit cards.

Attention!! A new security procedure (Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code) for making purchases on the internet with Visa and MasterCard was launched a few months ago. This requires you to register the customer ID number (which can be found on the credit card statement) to be associated with the credit card and a password chosen by the user. If you have not already done it, registration only takes a few minutes, but you will need your customer ID number (which can be found on the credit card statement).

The payment procedure will be as follows: once you have completed the Elba ferry booking, you will be redirected to a secure page using https protocol, where the transaction will take place. Enter your credit card number, the security code on the back of the card (usually the last block of numbers in small writing on the back of the card), and the expiry date of the card, and click “Confirm”.

Enter your Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code password in the next field.

The transaction is now complete. You will receive your ticket in the way you requested.

The online payment options also include payment via PayPal, still using a direct interface and still on the secure PayPal site in https protocol.

The offline payment options include: bank transfer, postal money order, and online money order. However, we advise against using offline payment methods because the ticket will only be issued once the payment has been received and the rates or availability of places could change between the time when you make your booking on the website and the time the offline payment is received.

Alternatively, you can choose to pay by credit card over the phone, telling us your credit card details over the phone immediately after making the booking, so that we can then issue the tickets, thus reducing the risk of changes in rates or availability.
